Terms of Service
Effective 24 September 2026. MMEST Market is operated by Cocoritties Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria.
1. What MMEST Market is
MMEST Market is an online marketplace. Independent sellers list products, and customers buy them. We provide the storefront, the checkout, customer support, and the payment routing. Sellers own their inventory, set their prices and delivery fees, and ship orders themselves. We are not the seller of record for any product.
2. Accounts
You need an account to buy or sell. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
3. Buying
Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira and include the seller's price plus the delivery fee the seller sets for your state. Payment is processed by Paystack; we never see your full card details. An order is confirmed when Paystack confirms your payment. Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund and returns policy.
4. Selling
To sell, you apply through the seller application and must be approved by our team. We require your registered business name, your Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration number and certificate, a government-issued identity document for the business owner or a director, and the bank account that will receive your payouts. The bank account must be in the name of the registered business or the verified owner. We may request further information at any time and may decline or revoke approval at our discretion.
When a customer pays, Paystack splits the payment at the moment of payment: your share settles to your bank account on Paystack's standard schedule and MMEST Market retains a commission, currently 15% of the product price. Paystack's transaction fees are paid by us out of that commission. Sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders promptly, describing products accurately, honouring the refund policy, and complying with all applicable law, including consumer protection and tax obligations.
5. Content
You keep ownership of the text and images you upload, and you grant us a licence to display them on the marketplace and in our marketing. You must have the right to use everything you upload. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy below.
6. Our role and liability
We work to keep the marketplace safe and reliable, but we do not guarantee that any product will meet your expectations, and we are not liable for a seller's acts or omissions beyond the remedies in the refund policy. To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, our total liability to you in connection with the marketplace is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned.
7. Privacy
We collect the information needed to run the marketplace: account details, delivery addresses, order history, and, for sellers, the identity and business documents described above. Seller documents are stored privately and are viewed only by our compliance team for verification. We share transaction data with Paystack to process payments and may share information with regulators where the law requires. We do not sell personal data.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and continued use after that date means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to everyone who uses MMEST Market. It exists to protect customers, sellers, and our payment partners, and it reflects the requirements of Paystack and Nigerian law.
