How payouts work
When a customer pays for your products, the money does not sit with us. Paystack splits every payment at the moment it happens, and your share settles directly into the bank account you registered with, on Paystack's standard settlement schedule (typically the next business day).
What you receive on each sale
Your payout for an order is your product total, minus the platform commission, plus your full delivery fee. You keep all of the shipping you charge because you handle your own delivery. Paystack's transaction charges are paid by us out of our commission, never deducted from you.
Worked example
| Product (your price) | ₦10,000 |
| Delivery fee (your rate for the state) | ₦1,500 |
| Customer pays | ₦11,500 |
| Platform commission (7.5% of product) | -₦750 |
| You receive | ₦10,750 |
Paystack's card fee comes out of our ₦750, not your payout.
Discounts and coupons
Store-wide coupons that we run are funded from our commission; they never reduce your payout. If you create a coupon for your own store, the discount comes out of your side of the sale.
Returns and refunds
Customers can request a return within 14 days of payment. You review every request, and the refund is only issued after you confirm the item arrived back with you. The customer pays for return shipping unless the item is faulty, refunds cover the item price only, and your stock is updated automatically when you accept a return.
Getting set up
Your dedicated payment account is created automatically when we approve your seller application, using the bank details you provide. Make sure the account name matches your business name. Ready to start?
